2010. We (Sarah and Jeremy) recently left Amsterdam and relocated to Sicily, Italy. We are working on organic farms and travelling. This internet page, which we plan on updating periodically, chronicles some of the things we like, mainly, colours, food and things that involve the sun.

Gola Di Alacantra

A beautiful gorge near on the east coast near Taormina although a little overrun with tourists in the summer when the whole of Italy and France and more seem to descend upon Sicily, the water is freezing cold but welcomed in the middle of August.

Tudia

Our 4th farm. Fuedo Tudia is located in the middle of Sicily, near the ‘bustling’ town of Resuttano. The property was 250 ha, the biggest by far we have worked on. The property is an old feudal estate run by members of the original family. They cultivate, grapes, peaches, pears and pistachio’s. Also attached to the farm is an Agriturismo where guests can stay, swim and eat. We had our own Woofers house and 5 awesome Woofers to keep us company.
Additional activities involved tango dancing, bio-tantra dance, meditation, wine showers, cleaning the pool, watching the workers try to construct a poolside bar out of a few crates and crepe paper, eating Nutella crepes made by our French friends, distilling wine to make grappa, being entertained by action Dan’s fire starting skills, feeling like martians in the town of Resuttano where the older men don’t mind a stare and making nectarine jam.

Mikey's 30th Birthday.

July 16th 2010 Mikey turned 30. We put our day jobs in Sicily on hold for 5 days and headed North to Gothenburg and a tiny coastal village of Smògen. While resisting the urge to shop for at least 70 minutes Gothenburg provided a welcomed excuse to propel our credit card debts into the red. Following this we headed further north to the main event. BOOM! Not much more to say, an awesome few days spent with awesome people in an awesome place and now Mikey is truly in Team 30+. (Welcome Mikey, although you were always boxing above your weight anyway). X
