Our first woofing (www.wwoof.org/) experience ever, our hosts Santo and Tiziana broke us in amazingly. Their property sits somewhere between Mt Etna and the Ionian sea (with views of both). There were vegetables, herbs (many, many), vines, one of every single kind of fruit tree, an ancient pumkin, 3 chickens, 3 dogs, 7 cats, 2 turtles, fish (apparently) and a wayward Sengalese man. It was a colourful time.
Forecasting Daily Weather: Wake up, lean out of bed and look out window, focus on smoking brim of Mt Etna. Can you see it? Yes = nice day. No = Could be overcast, a bit wet and a bit windy but will probably still be a nice day.
