Around August and September ‘Sagre’ take over Italy. Basically they’re festivals to honor local food traditions. They’re advertised on billboards all over town beforehand. We’re not anti-sagra but thought the idea was taken a little too far when dedicating one specifically to “festival of beef steak with porcini mushrooms”, and "pappardelle (flat wide pasta) with wild hare”.

Matteo and Laura get married + a to visit Milano
Love was in the air in September! Giovanni married Kriz in Rome and Matteo married Laura. Unfortunately someone didn’t charge the camera battery so we only have evidence of the latter. Sorry Gio! Bacione.

Firenze.
We love Florence! There are a few too many tourists but the city swallows them up and what’s left behind is nice bars, nice people, nice clothes, nice people in nice clothes, impressive monuments, tacky leather markets, antique markets and overpriced water. Everyone should go to Florence.
